We’re looking for a Garment Tech Assistant to support our Garment Tech team in ensuring garments meet high standards of fit, quality, and functionality.

What you’ll be doing:

Fit Session Support and Shipment Sample Approval:

• Tracking fit samples, ensuring all samples arrive in time for the fit session.
• Unpacking and logging samples, preparing the fit rail and maintaining organisation and storage of the fit samples alongside the product development and production assistant.
• Assist the garment technologist team in fit sessions, taking notes, measuring samples, capturing images, and updating PLM systems.
• Take ownership of the shipment sample approval process with the support of the garment technologists, reviewing samples on the model, giving feedback to the suppliers and escalating faults.

Critical Path Management:

• Day-to-day communication with our suppliers to ensure that all areas of the critical path relevant to garment tech are running smoothly. Escalating concerns to the wider team where necessary.

Quality Management:

• Support the garment tech team and warehouse team carrying out QC checks and maintaining the QC log.

Testing Administration:

• Coordinate testing with the suppliers, aligning with the PD team on bulk approvals to chase in relevant test reports in a timely manner. Logging reports and testing specimens and escalating any failures.
• Manage the administration of the wearer trial process with the support of the garment technologists.
• Review garment labelling against approved test reports, escalating any discrepancies.
• Review and approve barcodes and shipment packaging in alignment with warehouse requirements.

Ecommerce Collaboration:

• Work with the ecommerce and copy teams to provide accurate and up-to-date garment measurements and fit notes for online product descriptions.
• Act as a point of contact to the customer service team and store teams on product measurement or fit queries.

About you:

• Proven experience as an assistant garment tech or in a related technical role within womenswear/wovens.
• Technically minded with a relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
